How do you deal with injustice in this world?

In this episode, you’ll hear an a remarkable story about one lawyers journey to bring justice to a mother and her son.

Our Guest:

Jim Ferraro is an award-winning environmental attorney, who wrote Blindsided, a true story documenting Jim’s decade-long courtroom battle against the powerful chemical giant, DuPont, to bring justice to the family of a boy who was born with no eyes after his mother was unwittingly doused with chemical fungicide merely walking past a u-pick-it strawberry and tomato farm in Florida.

After the case was deemed unwinnable and turned away by major law firms, Jim single-handedly fought for justice and became the first and only lawyer in American history to successfully prosecute a chemical company for causing a birth defect.

The Castillo-vs.-DuPont case goes down in history as the first and one of the most important of it’s kind because it set the precedent for stricter environmental laws and the questionable use of the “junk science defense” in the courtroom.

It’s a true a David-and-Goliath courtroom and an important and relevant must-read. For more visit: https://projectblindsided.com
