After being challenged by a friend, I took a 40-day social media detox from Instagram and Facebook. I published this blog, the day before the detox began: My Social Media Addiction is Real: Getting off the ‘Gram.

I’ve lived to tell the tale and am now sharing the 7 BIG lessons I learned from 40 days without Facebook or Instagram.

My hope is that -- through my experience -- you will be inspired to consider your own relationship with social media so that you can be empowered in the way you engage with it (and truthful about its impact on your everyday life).
